  • Offensive or derogatory comments related to race, gender, sexuality, or religion
  • Unwanted physical contact, including unwelcome sexual advances.
  • Disruptive behavior, excessive intoxication, or aggressive actions.
  • Sustained disruption of talks, activities, or conversations.
  • Displaying sexual images

How and where to report:

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact the event staff or organizers immediately. The streaming desk and the signup desk will always be manned during the entire evening. The main contact for the event is Hammeta. But if you feel unsafe at any point during the night, don't hesitate to go to any volunteer or staff you can find. If going to one in person is not an option for whatever reason, please message 'hammeta', 'sebashtian', 'vincentmet', 'makrk' or 'stolkie' on discord. You can also mail us at info@virtuallylocal.live at any time. (Although, less often read whilst the event is going on).

Consequences of unacceptable behavior:

Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Issuing a formal warning.
  • Expelling the offender from the event.
  • Banning the offender from future gatherings.
  • Contacting local law enforcement if necessary.

Confidentiality and Privacy:

Reports will be handled with discretion and kept as confidential as possible. They will be kept within the group of volunteers, unless otherwise requested. We will not disclose the reporter's identity to the offender without the reporter's explicit consent.

Access to the event:

Participation in this event is free of charge. However, access to the event, its premises, and all associated activities is not guaranteed. The event organizers reserve the right, at their sole discretion, to deny or revoke access to any participant at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of this Code of Conduct or behavior deemed unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate.
